Unfortunately, the ski season will soon be coming to an end for another year – but it’s not over yet! It’s not too late to book your ski holiday before the spring arrives, especially if you choose a location with high ski terrain which benefits from snowfall right up until the start of May. If you’re in need of a powder fix, then here’s a roundup of some of the best resorts to visit before spring is upon us.

Val Thorens

This is the highest ski resort in Europe, and is so confident in its snow cover that it actually offers a snow guarantee from November to May. That means you don’t have to go skiing before spring arrives, you can still ski during spring! Located in France’s Tarentaise Valley, Val Thorens is a firm favourite with skiers and snowboarders all season long.

Ischgl

This Austrian ski resort sits extremely high and offers great snow quality and off-piste adventure. If you’re looking for an Easter ski holiday, Ischgl could be a great choice as it is also host to the Top of the Mountain Easter Concert – so there’s plenty to do off the skis, too.

Chamonix Valley

The Chamonix Valley is home to many of the world’s top ski resorts and it’s a fantastic holiday destination all year round. It is regarded as the birthplace of winter sports and offers a wide range of slopes for all abilities. You’ll have to move fast to book some of the lower resorts, yet some slopes in Argentiere are open until early May.

St Anton

Boasting challenging terrain, reliable packed powder and a world famous apres-ski scene, St Anton is one of Europe’s premium ski destinations. The Austrian resort has an excellent snow record, so if you fancy a ski trip with some spring sunshine it shouldn’t be a problem here.

Whistler Blackcomb

Fancy something further afield than Europe? The Canadian mainstay resort of Whistler is a great choice for some late season skiing. It usually stays open until late May, and you also have the choice to combine a spring ski trip with some sightseeing in other areas of the beautiful country.

There are plenty of options if you’re looking for a ski break in March, April or May. If you’re looking for luxury then check out our deluxe chalets, which will definitely be swaying you towards Chamonix for your next ski holiday.
